How to post COMMENTS
READ this first, prior to following the numbered steps below:
When you want to comment on a story (also called a "post") you first "select a profile". Most people have a Google (or Gmail account) and they would choose their "Google" profile. If not, perhaps you have an AIM (instant messaging) account. If so, you would select your "AIM" profile.
If you have not previously signed up for any of the profiles listed in the drop down menu, you can sign up for one of them -- all are free, of course, prior to leaving your COMMENTS. To create a new profile, you can click on this link: Google New Account or this link: Get New AIM account and follow instructions on setting up your profile, which would be a Google Account using your existing gMail address, or an instant messaging USERNAME with AIM. Of course, you could also go to the website for WordPress or OpenID and sign up with them. After setting up a new profile, simply return to the PLJ Legacy blog site by clicking on the tab or window that you were in originally. (Tabs are seen near the top of your browser screen and windows are on the task bar at the bottom (near where the start button and/or clock is displayed at the very bottom of the screen.)
An alternative to using one of the profiles in the drop-down menu is to select "Anonymous". If you choose this, please do type in your name at the end of your comment so that others may know who contributed.
- In the GREEN box below the story, click on the word "Comments" located just to the right of the TIME stamp and to the left of the envelope icon (which is used to eMail this story to your friends!)
- Select your comment posting profile from the drop down menu (you may have to sign in to your profile.)
- Click your cursor in the POST A COMMENT box and type away. Use the link on the right side of the PLJ Legacy site to visit MY website: Stories From the Street and scroll all the way to the bottom to see how folks left COMMENTS at the bottom of my post.
- After you finish writing your comments then press the PREVIEW button to see how your comment will appear, and at this point you can go back and edit or, if you are finished, press the POST COMMENT button and you are done.
As more stories are added the older stories are available in the sidebar on the right side of the screen to read any time. If you want to write a story for me to post, then send it via email to: marthab1955@me.com
